You may have heard recently that there is a real move toward electric vehicles, especially bicycles. There’s a good reason for this. There are just so many benefits to owning one. You have the freedom and fun of cycling (an exercise that does not involve the body-jarring pounding of jogging) with the convenience of an efficient form of commuter vehicle that frees you from the drudgery of traffic jams. They are cheap to run, will carry considerable loads and are much better for the environment than our gas guzzling cars.
To start with, ask yourself where the motor is positioned. A motor can either be on the rear wheel, or on the front wheel, or in the middle. If placed on the rear wheel, it tends to push the weigh to the back. This makes riding the bike feel awkward. Similarly so, if placed on the front wheel, the weight goes forwards and the same feeling of awkwardness is felt. The best position for the motor is in the middle. If at the center, the bike’s weight is evenly distributed, making the ride more stable, comfortable and fun.
The second tip is to keep your chain lubricated with a good bike chain lubricant. This will keep your bike running smooth and efficient and it won’t make that squeaky “old bike” noise! Just apply the lubricant to the chain and let it sit a few minutes before wiping off the excess lubricant with a shop rag. Eventually you will need to clean the chain with a degreaser to remove all the excess dirt that has collected on the chain. I will do a video tutorial on this soon.
This outdoor transportation doesn’t need a driver’s license any longer, as well as insurance and a license plate. As electric bicycles are now legally recognized for use on most roads as long as the cyclist must put up with the traffic laws just like the motorists. On the other hand, e-bikes can also be insured, although it is not really required. As there is no requirement for a driver’s license or state license plates.
Indiana is also famous for its first of its kind e-bike which has got similar features of a bicycle and is known as Light Electric Vehicles (LEV’s) which provides a cleaner, safer & an enjoyable future. The bici is best suited for morning travels and weekend trails.
Pedal assisted riding is a great way to enjoy an electric bicycle. During the pedal assist riding, there is no need to turn off the power switch, you may keep the switch on. This will feel just like riding a normal bicycle. When you quit pedaling the power will continue to assist in a short glide, then continue to pedal again. While riding you can turn off the power switch and do all the work yourself, when you get tired just turn the switch back on.
You would hardly find a country were the electric bike is not produced. However, you may find a country where the electric bike is not manufactured but you may still find the bikes being sold by the dealers of that country who import such bikes from the manufacturers of other countries. The manufacturers of US are much advance in making electric bikes.
